'Why do they keeping breaking down' asks angry shopper on Horsham lift closures

Although one lift was briefly reopened, shoppers are again facing a climb up several flights which has prompted concern for vulnerable members of the community.

This follows drivers branding the previous lift closures as 'pathetic'

Val Watson commented on the County Times Facebook page: "Both lifts were out of order yesterday and still are today.

"It wasn't that long ago new lifts were installed.

"Why do they keeping breaking down?"

Jules Carless added: "This is totally unacceptable especially on busy times of the year and week.

"I can't walk from top to bottom and back again after shopping around town!"

A Horsham District Council spokesman said: "The council apologises for any inconvenience caused by the breakdown of the Forum lift.

"We are pleased to confirm that it is now once again fully operational."
