Woodroffe completes cup win

SIDLEY progressed to the quarter-finals of the Bertie-Joel Cup with an emphatic win away to Mill Hill Village.

The team now face Surrey Premier Division side Sutton on August 11.

Sidley captain Scott Woodroffe said: "It went really well and the confidence in the team is really high at the moment."

After Sidley won the toss, Daniel Reid got the visitors off to a flying start with a quick-fire 21 before Sam Roberts (87) and Woodroffe (36) ensured the visitors posted a healthly 259.

Mill Hill struggled in reply after a devastating display from Woodroffe (6-7) skittled them out for 137.
