More than 60 players from far and wide descended on Falaise Indoor Bowls Club in Hastings last weekend for a high quality event which was part of the national planetbowls.com open singles circuit.

Tournament organiser Gareth Heard said: “I got nothing but good comments which I’m really pleased with. It ran as smoothly as I could’ve hoped for the first time, and I’m hoping to make it bigger and better next year for a full weekend.

“I’m really pleased to get some top, top quality bowlers; the top lady in the world and some of the top men in the world. I had a few helpers helping me out and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without them. I had really good support from the club (Falaise).”
