Show goes ahead despite rain

DESPITE appalling weather conditions and relentless rain for the entire show, both Goring and District Riding Club and competitors in the recent Area 13 show went on with determination to make it a success.

The show was a qualifier for the prestigious London and South East Novice and Lincoln show had the club’s chairman and course builder, James Lee had set a challening course, but one which was also safe in the wet conditions. The show ran smoothly thanks to organiser Janet Shears.

Goring Riding Club’s team, Goring Go-betweens, won the style jumping, which was judged by Mrs Jenny Straw, vice president of West Sussex Riding Club, with Horsham Riding Club taking the individual first.
