Saddler's Diary
HOW we ever managed to find some of the stables and yards over the years I do not know. Lanes with no names, turn a the sixth oak tree down a bumpy lane... all very time consuming when having to do several saddle fittings.
But with mobile phones and satnav it is so much easier to find places now.
There seem to have been quite a few casualties along the South Downs recently with horses tripping and damaging their knees. It if very flinty on the Downs and it is essential to purchase good-quality leather skeleton knee-caps.
