The win saw Horsham move 12 points clear at the top and although there are still a few matches to go they have a realistic chance of promotion.

Although playing in very difficult and slippery conditions after a long Christmas break it proved a very entertaining contest.

The scoreline suggests a very one-sided affair but in practice the main difference was some very strong and elusive running from the Horsham backs.

And with a very strong bench the result was never in doubt after the first quarter.

Credit to all the players, particularly Shoreham, and to the grounds manager, Kim Platfoot for getting a pitch in readiness after what has been a torrid few weeks of bad weather.
