Racing top class

Top class racing, wonderful weather, happy racegoers and contented competitors made sure Glorious Goodwood 2006 will be remembered for all the right reasons.

Goodwood Racecourse's general manager, Rod Fabricius, looking back on five marvellous days of racing, gave special thanks to the BBC, which has been broadcasting from the course for half a century, and the race sponsors.

He picked out Ouija Board's trhilling b attle with Alexander Goldrun in the 200,000 Vodafone Nassau Stakes as one of the best races ever seen on a British racecourse.
