MULLETS ROBBED IN LAST-MINUTE DRAMA
LOOKING at the league table prior to this match, there appeared to be less than the thickness of a page from the matchday programme bet-ween Arundel and Ringmer.
So it proved on the pitch, too. In a fiercely competitive game, the two midfields cancelled each other out. No player was allowed to dwell on the ball for a second before being challenged. Tackles were hard and sometimes late. The referee flourished a few yellow cards.
Although Ringmer made rather more chances, their finishing was poor. After one excellent save early on, Mullets' keeper Ben O'Connor was not tested much.
