Matt takes on the world

Matt Redman has a medal in his sights at an event which has attracted more than 1,600 competitors from 46 countries.

The Robertsbridge Community College pupil and Vision Taekwondo member won a gold medal at the recent Brighton Open competition and secured a trophy for third place in the England finals.

Having started taekwondo at the age of seven, Matt, now 15, has had to balance his intensive training schedule with his education as he wishes to pursue a career as an RAF pilot.
