LANCING bounced back from FA knock-out exits to bundle over a first division side similarly placed to themselves down below, and book a trip to another.
Having lost sharply at Tooting 6-0 in the FA Cup and then been overturned by Wick a week later in FA Vase extra-time, they packed their bags, went on a sixth road trip in seven matches, and earned a visit in the next round to Eastbourne UA.
Boss Sammy Donnelly had given a debut to former East Grinstead striker Barry Leete at Wick and he scored. Now he introduced Chris Morrow, formerly in the Wick midfield. One result was that Chris Osborne and Gavin Jones got back on their goal trails after more than a month.
