Jack has hit the road!

JACK BARTLETT has taken his place among the current elevated band of Worthing Golf Club players by winning the Sussex Order of Merit at the age of 17.

The Under-15 Order of Merit winner two years ago, he became the youngest winner of the adult title with fourth in the Cissbury Trophy hosted by his home club.

That gave him an indisputable winning margin with 45 points over the 30 of Sussex Amateur champion Scott Nightingale, his team-mate in Worthing's matchplay county championship winning line-up. Wayne Hawes of Littlehampton GC finished third in the Order of Merit with 29 points. Victory assures Bartlett of a place in the 2007 Sussex Men's team.
