Horsham Blue Stars end Sportshall season as record-breakers

His score of 56 in the under-11 speed bounce was a new best as the boys’ team finished second overall behind Crawley, and the girls’ team were third behind Crawley and Brighton.

It was one of many highlights for the Blue Stars, which included wins for Ashley Gorton (45.4secs) in the under-15 four lap race and the eight lap paarlauf alongside Jack Milnthorpe. Also on the top step of the podium were: Andrew Price (21.2s) in the two lap race; Esme Vale, who leapt 2.32m to win the standing long jump; plus the under-11 and under-15 boys’ relay teams.

There were also B string wins for Milnthorpe (under-15 four lap race); Gorton (under-15 standing long-jump); Jake Sinclair (under-13 speed bounce and vertical jump); Jamie Huges and Connor Dearden (six lap race); Emma Garry (under-15 girld standing long jump); Lucy Milnthorpe (under 15 girls vertical jump); Tabby Lee and Caroline Wirth (under-15 four lap race). There were also second place finishes for Josh Barnett, Jordan Levey and Louie Thorp, Ella Sharpe and Ellie Walker.
