Gritty showjumper Nicki proves her mettle
Barnham showjumper Nicki Bedford is heading for success this year, having secured a coveted place in Hickstead's famous International Arena in summer with her horse, Highground Tropical.
Nicki began rebuilding her showjumping career in autumn, following a two-year illness that left her not knowing whether she would ride again.
She has had to start with two new horses and gave herself a target of qualifying for the Royal Ingternational Horse Show at Hickstead and the Blue Chip Nationals in March.

Hide AdAt Medstead Grange in December, Nicki won the Blue Chip Powewr qualifier with Tropical and goes through to the championship in March.
Then at West Wiltshire Equestrian Centre, she finished second in the winter novice qualifier with Tropical, qualifying for the Royal International.
