Golds punished by in-form Pagham

PAGHAM FC demonstrated why they are riding high at the top of County League Division 2 as they comprehensively beat Division 1 backmarkers Littlehampton at The Sportsfield on Tuesday night.

Their confidence was in stark contrast to the home side who looked bereft of the commodity in spite of achieving their first win of the campaign on Saturday.

Littlehampton's cause was certainly not helped by Pagham scoring with their first attack of note in the sixth minute. Midfielder Callum Britton picked up a half-cleared ball on the edge of the box and had time to pick his spot with a curling shot that left Golds keeper Jon Hendrick helpless.
