The Foxes played with ten men for more than an hour after James Maddison was sent off for two bookings but still returned home with a point after Jamie Vardy's 79th-minute penalty cancelled out Glenn Murray's opener.

Speaking afterwards, Morgan said: "I think it's clear for everyone to see today we battled, scrapped and fought against a very physical Brighton side who are very effective in the way they play.

"Credit to the boys, we stuck to the task and found a way to get something from the game.

"It was a tough game, it's never easy when you have ten men and are 1-0 down. We knew it was going to be an uphill task but credit to the boys, they showed the spirit we know we have."We fought, dug deep and got an equaliser."

Morgan added Leicester produced a much better second half performance: "It wasn't the start we wanted to the game, with (Vicente) Iborra going off, Mads getting sent off and being 1-0 down. It wasn't the best start at all.

"We weathered the storm until half-time and we did well in the second half. We looked like a team that was determined, on the front foot and I think we deserved the equaliser."
