Time to end dreadful run

Hastings United really must end their 11-match losing run tonight (Tuesday).

The U’s will entertain Folkestone Invicta in a crucial match at the foot of the Ryman Football League Premier Division table.

The four teams in the relegation zone all have 18 points. Hastings are fourth-bottom and Folkestone are second-bottom, albeit with a game in hand on Jason Hopkinson’s side.

Hastings did at least show signs of improvement during their unfortunate single goal defeat at home to Canvey Island on Saturday and will be hoping to build on that tonight.

Elsewhere, Rye United will go in search of three more Sussex County League Division One points away to a Shoreham side which shipped 10 goals at East Grinstead Town on Saturday.

There is also a reserve team derby at The Polegrove as Bexhill United and Sidley United lock horns in Reserve Section (East) of the Sussex County League.

All three matches will kick-off at 7.45pm and you can find out the results by returning to this website tomorrow morning.

Last night, meanwhile, Reserve Section (East) leaders Rye United suffered a surprise 5-2 defeat at home to Little Common with Jordan Wood scoring a hat-trick.
