Not so magnificent seven for Common

Little Common’s miserable run of form continued with a 7-1 thrashing away to AFC Uckfield on Tuesday night.

Lewis Hole scored the consolation for a Common team which was brushed aside by second-placed opposition in Division Two of the Sussex County Football League.

Elsewhere, Sidley United extended their lead in Reserve Section (East) to five points with a 3-0 win at home to Westfield - their 12th successive league victory.

Although without a game, Hastings United remain just outside the Ryman League Premier Division relegation zone after defeats for rivals Maidstone United and Croydon Athletic.
