Crawley Town hat-trick hero Tom Nichols said the 6-5 FA Cup win against Torquay United was a 'once in a lifetime game'.

Nicols scored his first career hat-trick in the 11 goal thriller and said it was a crazy game. Watch the full interview below

He said: "It was a just a crazy game really. 6-5, 2-0 down, 5-3 down, the injury time we had, it was a once in a lifetime game really to play in."

Ashley Nadesan scored the winner in the last minute after being put through by Nichols. The Reds came back three times to secure the sensational victory against an impressive Torquay side.

Nadesan said: "I don't think we played poorly. We just had to believes in ourselves and fight for it. We defended better in the second half when we got back into the game.

"The change of formation helped and the players who came on and did a job."

Nichols also commented on Jordan Tunnicliffe's normal time equaliser in the last minute. He said: "When he appeared at the back post and slotted home, I thought 'what is he doing there'. It was just one of those games, it's the FA Cup."

And now Nadesan says the team need to show this fight and spirit in away league games.

He said: "This is what we need to s how in a our league away games. We do it at home but we need to bring it away. The boys did a great shift, most of them did 120 minutes."
