FOOTBALL: Rebels stay top after entertaining 0-0 draw at Folkestone

WORTHING Football Club stayed top of Ryman League Division 1 South after their top-of-the-table clash at Folkestone Invicta finished 0-0 on Saturday.

Despite the scoreline it was an extremely entertaining afternoon as first place Rebels took on second place Folkestone, who could have gone top with a win.

But Simon Colbran's men responded from their mid-week slip up at lowly Eastbourne Town to pick up a point, leaving it extremely tight at the top.

The sides are level on points but Folkestone have two games in hand.

The game was fiercely contested in the middle of the park which gave an entertaining spectacle for the 365 crowd, who braved the high winds.

Ben Williamson returned to the side from injury while captain Paul Kennett missed out with an ankle injury.
