First honours for Durrington

DURRINGTON High School has won the first Girls' Under-14 Football League.

With ten teams entered from schools in the Worthing and District Girls' Football League, football is proving as popular as netball for inter- school competitions.

Teams from Durrington High School, Davison High School, Steyning Grammar School, Littlehampton Community School, Worthing High School, Boundstone Community College, The Angmering School and Kings Manor School played throughout November and December in their bid to be the first district league champions.

Durrington High School team beat all the opposition to reach the final against Steyning Grammar School.
