Priory pair star in thumping win

KIRK Wernars and John Morgan were the stars of the show as Hastings Priory won by 136 runs at home to Chichester Priory Park in the Sussex Premier League.

The defending champions went 12 points clear at the top of the table after maintaining their record of winning every game they’ve contested so far this season.

Opting to take first knock, Priory were indebted to Sussex professional Wernars who carried his bat for an undefeated 109 out of a total of 195 all out. The only other batsmen to make an impression were Adam Maharaj-Newman (16) and Morgan (38).
