Mullets are now three points clear of Hassocks with a game in hand. Stuart Hack got the only goal seven minutes after half-time.

Asa Nicholson's double helped Wick to a 2-2 draw with Shoreham, while East Preston recorded a 3-2 home victory over Redhill. James Rhodes, Jay Head and Steve Metcalf, the winner 16 minutes from time, scored for EP.

Littlehampton crashed to their heaviest defeat of the season, 7-0 at title-chasing Eastbourne Town.

In Division 3, Rustington continued their march towards the title with a 5-1 win against Bexhill.
