Borough trip is EP's incentive

EAST PRESTON FC wasted numerous attacking openings before two rare errors by keeper Tom Rand saw them exit the Sussex RUR Cup at Sidley on Saturday.

After just six minutes, Rand called for the ball from a Sidley free kick, defender Jay Head ducked, but the ball got held up in the wind and Steve Morris headed home.

By the time, Sidley scored their second, when Peter Baker lobbed the slightly out-of-position Rand, EP should have been level with the amount of chances they had created.

Josh Biggs side-footed a great opportunity wide, Roy Pook also missed an excellent opening and Sean Edwards' header from a corner was well stopped by Sidley's keeper.

Tom Levitt went close before half-time, James Rhodes forced the keeper into a fine stop and James Virgo's fierce free kick was turned to safety with five minutes left.
