Yippee - free swim for over-60's

Freedomleisure is offering this facility at Bexhill Leisure Pool, Summerfields Leisure Centre and Rye Sports Centre, in conjunction with Hastings Borough Council and Rother District Council.

The free swim offer is government-funded for two years and will be reviewed by March 31 2011.

Anyone over the age of 60 will simply be able to turn up for any public swim sessions to obtain their free swim.

Pool timetables can be found on www.freedom-leisure.co.uk. Photo ID, clearly showing a date of birth - such as a drivers' licence or passport - will however need to be presented before every free swim.

Meanwhile Freedomleisure is offering a 'no fuss' way to access free swimming with an annual discounted leisure pass available for just for 5 for a whole year.

Holders will be registered on the Freedomleisure database and they will just need to 'swipe in' every time they attend the centre making it simple to take advantage of the free swim initiative. The leisure pass available is now available at Bexhill Leisure Pool, Hastings and Rye.
