Mr Campbell had recently retired and was working for the company in a part time capacity. He died of his injuries at the Royal London Hospital on Thursday evening, July 26.

Emergency teams - including the air ambulance - were called to the estate at 8:50am the previous day.

It is understood that Mr Campbell, who was from Waterlooville, and his colleague were both working in the bucket of an excavator while running cabling through a roof.

Police say the 21-year-old man, who suffered a broken leg and elbow, is being treated at St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester.

Sussex Police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating.
