News from Alex at The Royal Oak:

Apologies for not providing any news over the last couple of weeks, but we have been somewhat pre-occupied! Mike and Alex are delighted to announce the birth of Ollie (Oliver Michael), born Wednesday 6th February weighing in at a modest 5lb 5! We are thrilled to bits and would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has sent us cards, presents and wished us well. We’ve been touched by all of the support we’ve received from the community during this special time and hope that Ollie will bring joy to all of us over the coming months as we watch him grow and develop.

But, back to business now - tonight (Friday 22nd) is Irish Music Night at The Royal Oak when the most popular night of the month sees all those talented musicians from the South East join together in a jamming style session of traditional Irish tunes. Booking advisable as it’s always a great and busy night.

The Quiz continues every Thursday at 8pm, and I’d like to thank Roger and both Petes for standing in and helping out while I’ve been unable to.

The next Film Club evening is on Friday 1st March when we will be showing the Box Office hit “Skyfall” at 8pm in the Barn. For further details contact [email protected].
