West End surprise for Southwick drama students

Teenagers from PQA Southwick received a personal invitation from Pauline Quirke to attend a West End session to learn acting techniques from some of the best in the business.
The Southwick group of 13 to 18-year-olds joined other students from The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts at the RADA studios for the masterclass with Pauline and a musical theatre session with West End performer Mark Goldthorp and musical director Jordan Li- Smith.

Hide AdLucy Beirne, from the academy, said: “PQA students were thrilled when they received the golden letter through their door, inviting them to an exclusive masterclass with Pauline herself.
“Students had a fantastic time as they participated in an acting for television masterclass, taught by Pauline, which focused on high level acting techniques required for the screen.
“Students also participated in an improvisation exercise where they got to act alongside Pauline. The day ended with a Q&A session, where Pauline answered industry-related questions.
“The whole masterclass was an unforgettable opportunity for our students.”
