War hero remembered in Aldwick

A Second world war pilot's exploits are again being remembered in Aldwick.

A plaque which recalls Flying Officer Rae Smart DFC has been re-installed in a bus shelter put up in his memory in Nyetimber Lane.

The plaque, which states FO Smart was killed in action in November, 1943, was removed by parish councillors a few years back because of vandalism fears.
