VOTE: 'Cull the gulls' is Littlehampton man Tim's cry

SEAGULLS '” love them or hate them they are an intrinsic feature of a seaside town.

But for one Littlehampton resident, they are becoming an unbearable menace.

Tim Stanton lives in a flat in Cornwall Gardens, off Arundel Road, and is woken every morning by gulls nesting on his roof.

"It's a nightmare," he said. "Every morning they wake me up at around 5am and I can't get back to sleep.

"I've lived here for 10 years and this year is definitely the worst. They have become a pest and need to be culled.

"I phoned environmental health at Arun District Council but they said there was nothing they could do about it."

A spokesman for Arun said the council could only offer advice to householders, as its pest control department does not deal with them, but private firms could advise preventative methods.

What do you think?

Are seagulls a menace?
