Woman arrested on suspicion of drink driving after Slinfold collision

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a collision in Slinfold on Tuesday evening (February 4).

Emergency services including firefighters, paramedics and Sussex Police were called to the scene in Five Oaks Road just before 10.30pm.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said a white Fiat was travelling eastbound on the A264 when it lost control and collided with a tree.

The 33-year-old female driver suffered serious injuries, while her 28-year-old male passenger suffered serious head injuries. Both are from Crawley.

Two other people in the vehicle, a man and woman, suffered minor injuries.

They were taken to St George’s Hospital in London.

Police say a woman was arrested at the scene for drink driving and has been bailed until March.
