Police appeal following A24 Kingsfold lorry accident

Police are appealing for witnesses after a lorry overturned on the A24 in Kingsfold this morning (Monday August 19).

The road was closed between the Marches Road junction and the Clark’s Green roundabout in Surrey.

The driver of a lorry lost control of his vehicle as he travelled south.

The vehicle went into a ditch and overturned at 9.40am.

It was carrying two cherry pickers which came off the back of the lorry and landed on a garden and parked cars on a driveway.

The lorry driver was taken to East Surrey Hospital for treatment for minor rib and wrist injuries.

The road had to be closed for almost five hours while the area was cleared.
