Strong 2012 growth figures for RSA’s Horsham office

Despite difficult market conditions Royal Sun Alliance’s Personal Lines business, which is mostly based in Horsham, recorded a strong profit of £70m in 2012.

Announcing its full-year results on Wednesday, Mark Christer, managing director of RSA UK Personal Lines, based in Chart Way, was pleased with 2012’s figures, despite 36,000 weather claims, 12,000 more than 2011.

“As of the end of December we had settled 92 per cent, with people back in their homes, repairs had been done, and the goods replaced, so that’s a phenomenal success,” he said.
