Standing ovation for former Littlehampton man
THERE was a standing ovation for a former Littlehampton man when he returned to his home church in Lincolnshire after graduating with a Masters degree in theology.
The Rev Alan Hoare studied for his Masters at Mattersey Hall Christian training centre, near Doncaster, Yorkshire.
He is the son of Peggy Goodwin, now living in Rustington, and the late Bob Hoare, who used to live in Manning Road, Wick.
“His whole family are so proud of him,” said Mrs Goodwin.
“On his return to his home church, he was given a standing ovation from the church members.
“The church was packed. It was very moving.”
