Refreshments will also be available though the afternoon. If you would like to be a seller rather than a buyer, although it seems the two are rarely seen apart, stalls are still available for this event at £10 per table, set up from 1pm, so if you would like to book then please contact Karen on 883550.

Sedlescombe’s Got Talent night will now be on Friday June 14, not March 1 as advertised earlier, at the village hall to showcase great local talent and beyond. This will now give even more performers a chance to take part in 2013. Talented performers are requested to come forward as soon as possible to secure their place to perform on the night. There is no entry fee so can you sing, dance, juggle, play, recite or maybe you have another surprise for us? The £100 first prize is available to the overall winner, so don’t be shy. Places are limited so please contact Anthony on 870722 or Jean on 882438 for further information. This is organised by the Friends of Sedlescombe Church Heritage Trust to benefit your local church building.

Date for your diary. Pestalozzi will be hosting an International Celebration day on Saturday March 9 from 1 to 4pm. More detailed information will follow in next week’s voice.

I have had information that on Monday February 25 resurfacing work is to commence on the A21 between Paygate Road and Kent Street through Sedlescombe. The work will be undertaken between 8pm and 6am each evening weather permitting. If you have any queries or would like some further information then please contact the Highways Agency customer care line 0845 6000414 or email [email protected] project reference 6452.

Is there anyone in the village who would like to take a few photos at some of the village events that take place? It is not always possible to arrange for an Observer photographer to attend events and it would be good to be able to supply with some information for the Battle Observer from time to time and show just what an active community we are. Please use the contact details below if you think you would like to help.
