Saxon Weald chief executive in new NHS role

Mr Standfast replaces Sue Bucknall in the role, with his previous position of non-executive designate at Sussex Community NHS Trust available.

Trust chair Sue Sjuve said: “I am delighted to welcome David as a non-executive director, having been highly impressed by the quality of his contribution to our work so far.

“This is a great appointment at an exciting time for the trust as we progress towards our goal to become an independent community NHS foundation trust in 2014.”

Mr Standfast added: “Saxon Weald activities dovetail neatly with the services that SCT provides and in this way, I believe I can play a meaningful role in helping to lead the trust as it works to realise its vision of excellent care at the heart of the community.”
