Reminder to claim cut-price TV licence for the blind

BLIND people in the Littlehampton area, or anyone living with someone who is severely sight-impaired, are being encouraged to make sure they are claiming a half-price television licence.

Government agency TV Licensing has joined forces with the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) and other organisations across the UK supporting people with sight loss, to make sure all those eligible for the 50 per cent discount are taking advantage of it.

At present, 45 people in the Littlehampton area have a concessionary rate licences, but it is thought there are more who could and should benefit from the reduction.

A blind concession television licence costs £72.75 for colour and £24.50 for a black-and-white set.
