Voters went to the polls yesterday to vote on new West Sussex county councillors for a four year term.

Going into the election, there are 50 Conservative councillors, eight Lib Dems four Labour, four independents, two independent Conservatives and two vacancies. Throughout today (Friday May 7) and tomorrow (Saturday) we will bring you all the results as they come in from across the county.

Crawley county council election results are starting to come in. The first is Brian Quinn who has been re-elected in Broadfield

The Crawley count has finally announced its final borough council result meaning it can now move on to the county council ballots!

Dawn Hall return as county councillor for Nyetimber

Joy Dennis has been re-elected.

Waiting on final results

We have yet to have any Crawley results, and Adur & Worthing counting county council votes tomorrow (Saturday). Of the remaining areas, only Nyetimber in Arun and Hurstpierpoint & Bolney in Mid Sussex appear to be outstanding results.

John Charles, already an Arun district councillor, has been elected as a county councillor for Felpham

CONSERVATIVE HOLD - BOGNOR REGIS WEST AND ALDWICK

Ashvin Patel has been re-elected in Bognor Regis West and Aldwick

CONSERVATIVE HOLD - LINDFIELD AND HIGH WEALD

Garry Wall, former leader of Mid Sussex District Council, has been elected to the county council for the first time.
