ELECTION 2015: Horsham - Jeremy Quin (Conservatives)

Aged 46, I have had a career outside politics: advising companies and serving in HM Treasury. As a charity volunteer I have particularly focussed on education, homelessness and, through a credit union, on affordable finance. If elected I would do my utmost as a constituency MP.

Gatwick is a valuable local employer however I would strenuously oppose a second runway. It would place an intolerable strain on the local infrastructure and environment.

Throughout the constituency residents are proud of our countryside and want it preserved for future generations. This is a national issue on which, in common with other West Sussex Conservative Candidates, I feel very strongly. 

The NHS is another major issue.  Horsham feels distant from many hospital services – most importantly A&E at Redhill.

Given the expansion of the local population there is a compelling case for improved health provision, including GP services and enhanced services at Horsham Hospital.

Aircraft noise, the visibility of Police and local train services are all areas on which residents may require vociferous support.

I am proud to be a Conservative candidate – it is only a strong economy which enables us to invest in our NHS and public services. If elected my primary task would be to serve all residents, of all political views and none, in the Horsham constituency.
