We stand for a new kind of democracy, where you are in control.

We believe that the best ideas come from you, not from politicians, and that you should be able to have your voice heard.

That’s why our manifesto is unique. It’s the only manifesto where you can go to the website, click edit, and put in your own ideas. It’s like Wikipedia, but for a vision of a better future.

I’m not a politician, and have never stood for election before, but I decided to stand up because I was frustrated by the lack of choice and vision on offer.

I’ve spent my career as a web developer using
the power of the web to deal with the big problems around us.

Now there is a movement growing that will take democracy forward into the networked age, and I’m proud to be a part of it with Something New.

We believe that you want unbeatable public services, an end to austerity, a better democracy, clean energy and a government that will protect our freedoms, not restrict them.

We need trust and transparency in national and local government, and we need to let your community plan for itself how it
will change in future, not
just object to imposed
plans.

Most of all, we know that you care, even if our system doesn’t hear you. Let’s build a better system together.
