Police put brake on mini motors

LITTLEHAMPTON police have begun seizing mini motorbikes in a major clampdown on illegal and inappropriate use of the machines by youths.

The bikes, known as mini motos, have become a major nuisance in the area and dealing with them has become a community priority at a number of police neighbourhood forums.

A police spokesman said that officers would attempt to educate parents on the laws governing the use of these machines and at the same time would deal appropriately with persistent offenders.
