Police appeal for witnesses after serious three-car collision in Storrington
Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious three-car collision in Storrington which closed the A283 this evening (Thursday February 13).
A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “A Volkswagen Golf being driven by an 81-year-old woman hit a Volkswagen Golf from behind and pushed it into the back of a Mercedes E-class estate.
“The 81-year-old’s car then went off the road and hit a tree.
“She has been taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment.”
The A283 Washington Road near the Water Lane junction was closed while officers investigated what happened, but has since re-opened.
