Picture focus on railway history
WHERE were you in July 1961?One of the features planned for this year's Railway Evening in Steyning will focus on the centenary celebrations that took place, especially at Steyning Station.
The evening takes place on Friday November 14 at 7.30pm in the Drama Hall, Steyning Grammar School, Shooting Field.
There will be a few slides to awaken memories, but the organisers are hoping that if a few people who were present at the celebrations get together a much wider picture will emerge as has happened on a number of occasions in the 24 years of railway evenings with different aspects of the history of the Steyning line.
