Mary Saint, Pett Road

The Pett WI meeting on Friday February 15 went extremely well. As well as two new members, there were eight other visitors who had come to hear Angela Hawksley talk about her ‘Life in Crime”. Those attending heard about her experiences as a barrister in London as well as her time as a solicitor in Hastings. Whilst there was much laughter, what also came across was Angela’s passionate belief that the system in this country is still the best in the world. It was altogether a fascinating talk, followed as usual by a delicious tea!
