Hastings town crier Jon Bartholomew wished the Queen a happy 94th birthday from his house due to the current lockdown measures in place across the UK.

Stood in the front garden of his house in Bexhill, on Tuesday (April 21), Mr Bartholomew gave a loyal cry for Her Majesty as she celebrated her 94th birthday.

This year’s celebrations were changed due to the coronavirus crisis.

The usual gun royal salute was cancelled, as the Queen said it was not appropriate due to the lockdown measures in place in the UK.

Due to social distancing measures, Mr Bartholomew never stepped outside his garden while delivering his cry.
