Rogate children’s singalongs bring joy to village during lockdown

Rogate Primary School has been holding singalong sessions on the school field instead of its normal assemblies.

The weekly events have allowed the children to share a feeling of community while keeping to their class bubbles.

Teacher Chrsitine Ward said: “The children have loved getting together again, as we singalong to all our favourite action songs, with the older children being able to lead the little ones.

“Our local neighbours from the Parsonage estate have told our parish priest, Fr Edward Doyle, how much they have enjoyed hearing the children singing as the sounds drifted across our field into their gardens.”
