Police urge common sense after people spotted in sea at Hastings
Dawn Langan saw the three people in the water close to Rock-a-Nore at about 3pm on Thursday (April 30) before reporting the incident to the police.
Sussex Police reminded residents they should only leave their homes for an essential purpose.

A police spokesman added: "We are appealing for a common sense approach to outdoor activities.
"Even if you’re an experienced swimmer/paddleboarder/surfer/sailor/canoeist, open water carries its own risks with a higher likelihood of getting into difficulties and of needing a coastguard or emergency service than other activities.
"We’d advise not doing those activities right now to avoid unnecessary pressure on the NHS or emergency services."
