Man, 27, ‘seriously injured’ in Horsham crash

A man was seriously injured in a collision in Horsham this morning, Sussex Police said.

A police spokeswoman said: “Emergency services were called to a report of a man being struck by a Mitsubishi Shogun vehicle in Canberra Place, Horsham, at 7.05am on Tuesday (26 May).

“The 27-year-old victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.”

A 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and on suspicion of failing a roadside drug test, the spokeswoman added.

She said: “No one else was injured.

“[The woman] remains in custody for questioning.”
