Police said they were alerted to a white Ford Transit van which triggered an ANPR camera in the Eastbourne area at around 11am on Monday (April 20).

Officers said the vehicle was linked to a burglary in Tower Hill Road, Dorking, Surrey, on February 21, where two KTM motorcycles and a leaf blower were stolen from a garage.

Chief Inspector Michael Hodder, of the Surrey and Sussex Roads Policing Unit, said, “This arrest demonstrates our ongoing commitment to denying suspected criminals the use of our roads in Surrey and Sussex.

“The volume of traffic may have changed in recent weeks but our ethos hasn’t – working together, we continue to keep everyone as safe as possible on our roads, and take action against those who commit crimes.”
