Bognor pupils lead Christmas collection drive for Salvation Army’s Present Appeal

The project by the South Bersted CE Primary School year-two children was linked to their RE module around the real meaning of Christmas and why it is important to Christians.
Children asked parents and carers across to the school to donate toys for the charity’s appeal.

Hide AdMel Davis, admin assistant at the school, said: “We have been amazed by the generosity of our families; even though people are facing more difficult financial times due to the pandemic, they have still made the effort to contribute towards this worthy cause.”
Deputy head teacher Rachel Bush, who led the RE module, delivered the toys to The Salvation Army in Bognor Regis so they can be used to brighten the Christmas of children in the community who are less fortunate.
