The studios at ((BOUNCE)) Billingshurst, held at Billingshurst Leisure Centre, are currently closed but ((BOUNCE)) enthusiasts were able to take part at home, by following an online workout.

Participants completed five 45-minute online classes, burning an estimated 2,600 calories each. All class fees for the day were donated by the company and members contributed their own sponsorship money.

Rhii Roberts, ((BOUNCE)) Billingshurst and Durrington franchisee, said: “I’m extremely proud of our ((BOUNCE)) Army from far and wide for taking part in this amazing event to raise money for such a worthy charity.

“A lot of our attendees work on the frontline and have found ((B)) @ home a huge stress relief whilst they have been working through this pandemic.

“Many of them attend ((BOUNCE)) Durrington twice a week and have expressed their gratitude for ((BOUNCE)) being available online during these unprecedented times.

“I’m always proud of my attendees but seeing the amount of support they showed throughout the marathon, whether they donated, sent a message or took part themeselves, makes me even prouder of them. We really are a tight-knit community and we will come back stronger than ever from this.”

The fitness company donated 100 per cent of class sales from the day and personal sponsorships added to the £50,298 total.

Kimberlee Perry, chief executive, said: “At this time of crisis, it’s more important than ever to give our support and thanks to the NHS, its staff and volunteers for the amazing work they are doing to keep the public safe.

“Many of our ((BOUNCE)) Army work on the frontline themselves, as health workers, police officers, food and supermarket workers and other vital roles, and we’d like to show our gratitude and appreciation for their efforts in keeping the nation running.

“When I launched the business, I set out to create an empowering and supportive fitness environment. So it’s in the very ethos of ((BOUNCE)) to rally behind our own and raise money for such an important cause.

“We are blown away by the phenomenal amount raised by our ((BOUNCE)) Army in just one day and would like to thank participants, their family and friends for the generosity. To those on the frontline, we salute you.”

The dance-choreographed mini trampoline fitness classes were launched in 2014. Visit www.bouncefitbody.com for more information.
